It always irks me when a pastor can write out his entire sermon word for word. That seems to me more of a message based on human knowledge and understanding rather than letting the Spirit go where the Spirit may go. Let the Spirit out people. It is not so much of a scary thing.
One conversation in Royal Oak was the sole reason we drove 45 minutes each way tonight and it was amazing.

I remember once when I was younger my dad sent me into his office at the church to get his sermon notes off of his desk. I remember being very disturbed that it was just an index card with an outline and a few scripture references. But, since then, I have been exposed to some very formulaic (three bullet points, all on a flashy powerpoint, with an interesting media-based example) sermons. Basically, I said all of that to say, amen.
